Abstract

The demographic situation in Khmelnytsky region is considered. Special attention was paid to the birth rates, mortality, life expectancy. Natural decrease caused by the excess of deaths over birth has been studied. Deterioration of living standards of the rural population affected by birth decline. Increasing developing of the national economy, increase in rural employment and job creation will improve the gender and age structure of the population. Improvement of population welfare, development of culture,education,, medicine, measures of social nature will contribute to the stabilization of production process, provided by labor resources; its demography will improve providing expanded reproduction. The article presents the findings and recommendations on the regulation of demographic processes in rural areas, taking into account the elements of economic security.
